    1080 Beach

    If you’re looking for a spot to surf the turquoise waters of the far south coast, head to 1080 Beach near Mystery Bay. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and a popular among locals for surfing, swimming and fishing. If it’s too cold for a dip or you’d like to keep your toes dry, take a walk along the sandy beach.

    Snorkelling Mystery Bay

    How to get there: Follow the Princes Highway south from Narooma for approximately 10 kilometres, then turn left onto Mystery Bay Road. There’s a wonderful diving area around the rocks, or try the huge, sheltered rock pool a little north of Mystery Bay Beach. Head north through the primitive camp ground. You’ll find a track that heads right. This will descend quite steeply as it gets to the pool.

    Historic Mystery Bay Velodrome

    A scenic track takes you on a loop from Mystery Bay, through the camping ground, and to the historic Velodrome – built in the late 1890s by the enthusiastic Corunna Cycle Club. There are many tracks in the campground that lead to vantage points where the spectacular emerald green ocean can be seen, as well as great views of Montague Island and the interesting geology of Mystery Bay.

    Bellbird Scenic Drive Tilba Tilba

    Turn off the Princes Highway 20 kilometres south of Narooma onto Corkhill Road for the Bellbird Scenic Drive. The drive begins at the village of Tilba Tilba. Here you can visit the wonderful Foxglove Spire Gardens and specialty shops.
